Per Diem

Per Diem, or “per day”, includes employment/payment based on a day-to-day basis rather than a full-time position. Per Diem clinicians often fill in for absent nurses and are on an on-call basis. Shifts are often irregular and clinicians have the option of accepting or denying an assignment based on their schedules.
